ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Operating Room (Day Shift) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

The position involves a schedule of 40 hours per week, consisting of two 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM and two 8-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM. Weekend call is required, and there is no regular weekend shift requirement.

Job Description

This is an Operating Room RN position at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, part of Jefferson Health. The Operating Room has approximately 14 rooms and serves adult and geriatric patients. The surgical service supports a broad range of procedures including General OR, Neuro, Orthopedic, Vascular, and Transplant surgeries. Common surgical procedures include appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic surgery, and thyroidectomy.

Additional experience with high-acuity and trauma surgical cases is expected. The charting system used is Cerner. Scrubs are provided by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Operating Room for surgical patients, including adult and geriatric populations.
• Assist in a variety of surgeries including total joint replacements, spinal fusion, and transplant procedures.
• Ensure compliance with surgical protocols and patient safety measures.
• Monitor and record patient vitals during surgical procedures.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to coordinate patient care.

Required Experience

• 2 years of Operating Room experience is required.
• Level I trauma experience is required.
• Strong General OR experience is required.
• Total joint, neuro, transplant, and vascular experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current PA RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• TNCC certification preferred.
