This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Schedule is 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with a 30-minute lunch for a 12-hour shift. Weekends are required every other week.

Job Description

The RN will function as an Acute Care Float, assigned to various units based on staffing needs. The role involves caring for patients across multiple specialties, including medical, surgical, oncology, nephrology, trauma, and orthopedics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in multiple acute care settings, including medical comfort care, surgery, trauma, observation, and more.
• Ensure proper documentation and patient care using Cerner EMR.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Maintain patient ratios that vary according to unit needs, typically 1:6.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current and active unencumbered RN license in Tennessee or a multi-state compact license.
• BLS certification required.
