Day Shift, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical unit at TriStar Summit Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to our patients. The unit consists of 33 beds, with a patient ratio of 6:1 during the day and 7:1 at night. Nurses on this unit are equipped with IVs, Kangaroo pumps, and SCDs and are expected to use Meditech for documentation. This role may require floating to other appropriate areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist with diagnostic tests and patient education.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement and evaluate care plans.
• Support unit operations by participating in unit meetings and professional development activities.

Required Experience

Candidates must possess a current RN licensure and demonstrate previous experience in a medical-surgical setting.

Certifications/Licensure

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Additional certifications in BLS and ACLS preferred.
