Schedule/Shift

This position requires working occasional weekends, with a Night Shift schedule of 5x8 hours from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Tech will be responsible for providing expertise in the sterilization and processing of surgical instruments and equipment. The role involves high-level disinfection, sterilization procedures, and maintain an organized work environment. The facility utilizes the Epic charting system, and candidates must be comfortable working independently with minimal training.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization processes using steam, ethylene oxide, and other methods.
• Monitor and maintain the integrity of sterile instruments and devices.
• Conduct biological testing and monitoring of sterilizers.
• Document all processes as required by facility protocols.
• Assist in training and mentoring new staff as needed.

Required Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in Sterile Processing.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Sterile Processing Microsystem (SPM).
• Experience in utilizing automated endoscope reprocessors and other related equipment.

Certifications/Licensure

• Certification from CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA, or HSPA.
• Active Compact license must be in hand at submission.
