This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires working 5x8 hour evening shifts from 14:00 to 22:30. Weekend work is required, and travelers can be called off for one shift per two-week period. Candidates must also commit to working three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day).

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Department (SPD) at Everett specializes in Neuro, Ortho, robotics, and some pediatrics, handling an average of 65 surgical cases and a daily tray volume of 1200. The department is known for its quality-focused team environment and operates as a teaching department. Candidates should possess knowledge of supplies, be self-motivated, and demonstrate strong teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization and decontamination of surgical instruments and trays.
• Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and proper handling of all sterilization equipment.
• Pick and organize surgical cases as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation using the SPM instrumentation management systems.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing is required.
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Certification from CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA is required.
• A valid state license must be in hand at the time of submission.
