ARMStaffing is looking for a Cytotechnologist, Cytology (Day Shift) in Albany, New York.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, with hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Job Description

The Cytotechnologist will be responsible for examining and interpreting cytological specimens to identify abnormalities and contribute to patient diagnoses. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Examine cytology slides for abnormalities and document findings.
• Prepare and perform quality control procedures.
• Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of cytology specimens.

Required Experience

A minimum of 3 years of experience is required, with 5 years preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• ASCP Board Certification as a Cytotechnologist/Cytologist.
• NYS Cytotechnologist/Cytologist license.
• Current proof of passing PAP proficiency testing or scheduled testing for the current year.
