Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30). Candidates must be available to work every other holiday and may be required to float within the hospital.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides specialized care for patients with moderate to high-acuity health conditions. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure the best patient outcomes. The successful candidate will have experience in telemetry and will be familiar with electronic charting systems.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patient vitals and implement appropriate care based on responses.
- Administer medications and provide treatments as prescribed.
- Manage telemetry monitoring and analyze results for patient diagnosis.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using the electronic charting system.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust patient care plans.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or similar setting preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN license in Pennsylvania or compact state.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications must be current at submission.
