Job Description

The Telemetry Unit requires RNs to provide care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring. This role involves both the proper Tele unit and the Observation Unit, necessitating strong telemetry-level care experience. The position will include responsibilities typical for telemetry nursing in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs and telemetry data, responding to alarms and alerts.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient information and care using the Epic charting system.
• Float to telemetry as needed, depending on staff requirements.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Telemetry experience is preferred.
• Must possess a Florida or compact RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Florida or compact RN license in hand.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification required.
