ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Mother Baby (Night Shift) in La Plata, Maryland.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

3x12 Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 (optional for 4x12). Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for mother and baby in a couplet care setting, supporting families postpartum. The nurse will utilize their skills in assessment, intervention, and education to ensure optimal outcomes for mothers and newborns. Familiarity with external fetal heart monitoring and breastfeeding education are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage care for both mother and newborn.
• Provide education and support regarding breastfeeding and newborn care.
• Administer medications and assist with various procedures including circumcisions and sterile exams.
• Monitor and document vital signs and other relevant data using the Epic charting system.
• Participate in patient discharge planning and education.
• Provide care in accordance with established protocols and ensure patient safety.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Experience in couplet care or mother-baby unit preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state.
• NCC C-EFM certification required.
• BLS, NRP, and preferred AWHONN certifications.
