Shift: Days, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30); Weekend coverage required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in this position will provide care for surgical patients. Responsibilities include operating within a medical-surgical unit with potential floating to telemetry units as needed. The nurse will be involved in various procedures such as ENT surgeries, general surgeries, and surgical oncology. Familiarity with the Omnicell medication system and a minimum of one year of EPIC experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Administer care and medications as prescribed.
• Manage and care for patients with a variety of surgical needs, including trach care, wound vacs, and drains.
• Monitor patient progress and intervene as necessary.
• Document patient care accurately in the EPIC system.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.
• 1 year of experience using the EPIC system.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active South Carolina RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
