ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (12-Hour Rotating Shift) in Walnut Creek, California.

This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
The position requires 12-hour rotating shifts with start times at 5 AM, 7 AM, 9 AM, 10 AM, and 11 AM. Nurses will work every other weekend and one major holiday.
Job Description
The Emergency Department at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek has a strong focus on teamwork, and candidates must exhibit good teamwork and attitude. The unit sees an average daily census of 190-200 patients, with rapid turnover and a strong emphasis on patient experience and nursing excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care for a diverse population with conditions such as STEMI, stroke, syncope, weakness, trauma, and falls.
- Utilize Epic for documentation and ensure accurate patient records.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including Physician Assistants, ER Technicians, and nursing staff.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in an Emergency Department setting.
- Strong travel experience is preferred, with at least 1-2 previous travel assignments unless significant ER experience warrants a shorter orientation.
Certifications/Licensure
- Required: Current California RN license, ACLS, PALS, BLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications.
- Preferred: TNCC certification and CEN certification.
