Monday-Thursday 8 PM - 6 AM; holidays as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate the MRI machine with precision, ensuring patient comfort and effective collaboration with physicians to facilitate timely delivery of results. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel at ease.
• Insert IVs when necessary for testing purposes.
• Document all procedures while upholding patient confidentiality.
• Perform patient care tasks as needed.

Required Experience

• Two (2) years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Certifications/Licensure

• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• New York State Rad Tech license must be obtained after starting.
• Injection certification is required.
• GE scanner experience is mandatory to be considered.
