Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every third weekend, and every other holiday.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, while focusing on patient and employee safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis of individualized care plans.
• Identify educational needs and goals for patients and families based on assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide timely patient information and documentation during team conferences.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs, utilizing the nursing process to ensure quality care and outcomes.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching on the day of admission.
• Ensure safe patient handling, materials handling, and minimize risks of slips, trips, and falls.
• Communicate effectively with all care providers to maintain continuity of care.
• Supervise and train nursing staff, using problem-solving techniques to enhance team performance.

Required Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (applicable to CIRH only).
