Schedule/Shift

PM shift with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Every other weekend is required.

Job Description

This Registered Nurse position will be part of a Progressive Care Unit, providing care for post-cardiac catheterization lab patients and those undergoing cardioversions. The unit is equipped for telemetry monitoring and includes 22 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1. You will work with an adult population and collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and deliver high-quality patient care within the Progressive Care Unit.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and telemetry readings, responding appropriately to changes in patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to established standards of care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on cardiac health and post-procedure care.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a step-down or ICU setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license to practice in North Carolina.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.
