Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00).

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit will provide high-quality care to adult patients, working within a team that offers interdisciplinary support from various specialists. This position requires daily involvement with critical patient populations, managing complex medical cases, and utilizing the Epic charting system to document all patient-related information efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Manage arterial lines, central lines, and PICC lines.
• Administer blood products and emergency medications.
• Perform continuous IV sedation and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias and vital signs.
• Provide procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
• Implement infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Charge experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with a patient ratio of 2-3 in a critical care setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current New York State RN license is required.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
