Night shift (3x12-hour shifts, 19:00 - 07:30) with a requirement of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Intermediate Intensive Care will be responsible for providing care to adult patients with trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology cases requiring close monitoring and frequent interventions. The unit will involve direct admissions, ICU transfers, and escalations from Rapid Response Teams. Nurses will utilize advanced equipment and provide critical care, including cardiac monitoring, medication management, and ventilator care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients with a ratio of 1:3.
• Provide immediate response to medical emergencies and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Utilize EPIC for patient documentation.
• Administer medication management, including titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Care for ventilated patients and assist with procedures involving neurosurgery and trauma cases.
• Float to other units as necessary based on census needs, maintaining competency in those areas.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 completed travel assignment.
• Prior experience in IICU/ICU with a patient ratio of 1:3.
• 1 year of experience with EPIC documentation system required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active South Carolina or multistate RN license.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
