Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (06:30 - 19:00).

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide care to patients in a 500-bed hospital with specialized units, including a Burn ICU and Cardiac ICU. Responsibilities include assisting with intubation/extubation, tracheostomy care, and administering various respiratory therapies. The successful candidate will be familiar with the Epic charting system and will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary support services.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to adults and geriatric patients.
• Assist with intubation and extubation procedures.
• Manage tracheostomy care and ventilation settings.
• Administer medications and respiratory therapies as prescribed.
• Perform arterial blood gas draws and interpretation.
• Participate in pulmonary hygiene and chest physiotherapy.
• Utilize Epic for patient charting and documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience

Minimum of 1 year of experience in an ICU setting. Previous charge experience is not required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• NRP and PALS certifications preferred.
