Schedule/Shift
Night Shift, 19:00-07:00. Guaranteed 36 hours per week. The candidate must be available for 2 of 4 weekends per schedule, or 4 of the 8 weekend shift days. Call requirements are not applicable.
Job Description
As a Registered Nurse in the Neuro Med Surg unit, you will provide exceptional care to adult patients with various neurological conditions. You will work in a facility recognized for its clinical excellence and utilize advanced technology in a collaborative care environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Perform assessments and document care in the electronic health record (EPIC).
- Manage patient care plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
- Respond to patient needs and coordinate emergency care if necessary.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting, specifically in a Neuro Med Surg unit.
- Experience with trach and vent care is required.
- Proficiency in using EPIC navigation.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
- Current NIH Stroke Scale certification is preferred.
- Current certification in Swallow Screen is preferred.
