ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Pediatric Emergency Department (Rotating Shift) in Rochester, New York.

Schedule/Shift

Rotating shifts (Day/Evening/Night), with weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge responsibilities as needed. 48 hours per week is strongly preferred.

Job Description

The Pediatric Emergency Department (Peds ED) offers family-centered care for patients under the age of 19, addressing urgent and emergent issues at a Level 1 pediatric trauma and burn center. The unit consists of 18 general care beds, 1 critical care bed, 4 urgent care beds, and a shared 7-bed trauma bay with the adult ED. Staff are trained to function in a fast-paced, challenging environment, providing care from treat-and-release to acute critical care and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for pediatric patients with urgent and emergent medical issues.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Utilize advanced clinical skills and judgment in high-pressure situations.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Participate in trauma response and emergency interventions.

Required Experience

• 2 years of Pediatric Emergency Department experience.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current New York RN license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• PALS certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Burn care experience is highly desirable.
• TNCC, ATCN, or ABLS certifications preferred.
