ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Operating Room (Flexible Shifts) in Devils Lake, North Dakota.

Schedule/Shift

The hours can be flexible, with options for 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts. There is no call during the weekend and only call during weekdays, specifically for c-sections.

Job Description

The OR Circulator/Scrub Nurse provides safe, evidence-based care to surgical patients throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and immediate postoperative phases. The role entails functioning effectively as both the circulating and scrub nurse, coordinating patient care, maintaining a sterile environment, and advocating for patient safety. The nurse collaborates with the surgical team to promote positive patient outcomes and demonstrates proficiency across various surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and maintain a sterile environment during surgical procedures.
• Document surgical procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Establish and maintain sterile fields, prepare instruments and supplies, and anticipate surgeon needs.
• Participate in emergency and trauma procedures as required.
• Assist with inventory management and quality improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to fluctuating surgical volumes and staffing needs.

Required Experience

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Background in a rural healthcare setting preferred.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with c-sections, hand cases, podiatry, and cataracts.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS as required by facility.
• ND or compact license with no disciplinary hits allowed.
• Demonstrated competency in both circulating and scrub roles.
