Part Time Day/Evening variable shifts, scheduled as needed (2x8s/3x8s) + Every Other Weekend, Holiday 3x8.
Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will perform direct and indirect resident care under the guidance of licensed nursing personnel. Responsibilities include meeting residents' activities of daily living (ADLs), maintaining a safe environment, and ensuring nutritional and rehabilitative needs are addressed as outlined in care plans.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with hygiene, grooming, dressing, and other ADLs as per their care plan.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness within the unit, monitor equipment, and address emergency alerts promptly.
- Support residents' nutritional needs by managing meal delivery and assisting with feeding when necessary.
- Promote residents' rehabilitative needs by engaging in exercises, ambulation, and proper positioning.
- Report residents' concerns, refusals, and changes in condition to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner.
Required Experience
- One (1) year of experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current New York LPN Licensure is required.
- BLS (AHA or RQI) certification is mandatory.
