Night Shift, 3x12 hours per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will maintain the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants while embracing the core values of Select Medical.

This role emphasizes patient and employee safety, adhering to best practices around safe patient handling, infectious diseases, and maintaining a safe work environment. The RN will be responsible for the comprehensive nursing assessment of all patients within 8 hours of their admission, forming the basis of individualized care plans that includes patient and family education.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis through collaboration with patients and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide timely updates on patient status during team conferences and maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and manage direct patient care applying the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission.
• Communicate relevant information regarding patient status changes to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and provide guidance to nursing ancillary staff.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.

Required Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required prior to the first shift.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
• BLS certification prior to first shift is mandatory.
• ACLS certification required for CIRH ONLY prior to first shift.
