ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Day Shift) in Nashville, Tennessee.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Three 12-hour shifts per week, with two weekends required (four shifts) per four-week schedule. The shift is from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse on the 3rd Neuro Med/Surg unit at Skyline Medical Center, you will provide comprehensive care to patients in a 20-bed capacity unit, maintaining a patient ratio of 6:1. You will utilize Meditech for documentation and work with a range of equipment including IV Pumps, Telemetry, Continuous Pulse Ox Machines, PCA, and EKG machines. Expect to provide attentive and compassionate care, making personal connections with patients and involving them and their families in their care plan.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care to patients in the Neuro Med/Surg unit.
• Start IVs, perform basic wound care, and maintain surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, & chest tubes.
• Support patients with feeding pumps and monitor telemetry readings.
• Utilize patient mobility technology to ensure timely communication.
• Provide bedside shift reports and foster family engagement in the care process.

Required Experience

• Must have an active RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Previous Med/Surg experience is preferred.
• Ability to prioritize patient care and effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification.
