Job Description

The Professional Staff Nurse serves as a key member of the care delivery team and is responsible for setting the standards for the level and quality of care. This role encompasses aspects of leadership, partnership, collaboration, and supervision within a healthcare environment. The nurse will manage and provide patient care activities for a group, applying independent judgment while working closely with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Participate in quality improvement efforts and work to enhance patient satisfaction and the quality of care.
• Utilize research and evidence-based practice to improve clinical care outcomes.
• Create individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and families, addressing their holistic needs.
• Demonstrate solid communication skills, ensuring clarity in patient documentation, which promotes effective team collaboration.
• Engage actively as a partner in care teams and adapt to changes while remaining flexible.
• Teach patients and families effectively, guiding them throughout their care journey and transitions.
• Foster open dialogue and ongoing development through feedback mechanisms.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with colleagues and uphold accountability for actions.

Required Experience

2 years of nursing experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Additional PA certifications: Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73 required.
