Cardiac Surgery RN - 13-Week Contract Position

Schedule

This position requires 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM. During the first week, travelers will complete orientation through 5x8 hour shifts (Monday - Friday). Following the initial orientation, additional necessary orientation may occur as 12-hour shifts.

Job Description

The Cardiac Surgery RN will be responsible for scrubbing and circulating in cardiac surgery. The role may involve floating to other services in the OR such as General, Urology, and ENT, depending on the volume of cardiac surgeries. Experience in CABGs, aortic and mitral valve repairs/replacements, heart transplants, and related surgical procedures is essential.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate during cardiac and associated surgeries.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures.
• Assist in preparing operating rooms and ensuring proper sterile techniques.
• Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid RN license in the state of practice.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiac surgery is required.
• Experience with vascular and thoracic surgery procedures is preferred.
• Traveler must be able to complete required fingerprinting and background checks as mandated.
