Job Description
In this role, you will provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Your primary focus will be to assist in developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to meet the needs and goals of patients within a skilled nursing facility. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, administering therapeutic exercises, and teaching patients how to effectively use adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine patients' needs and goals.
- Administer therapeutic exercises and activities to enhance motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities.
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
- Monitor and document patients' progress; adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Required Experience
Experience providing occupational therapy services in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS certification.
- Current FCC certification.
