Schedule/Shift

12-hour shifts, 7 PM to 7 AM, with weekend and holiday requirements.

Job Description

This role involves working in a post-acute skilled nursing unit, focusing on patient care for those requiring short-term rehabilitation. The unit will feature a phased opening with 30 total beds and a blend of experienced staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Patient care will include managing common diagnoses associated with post-acute short-term rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery.
• Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, while maintaining thorough documentation in the EPIC system.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and training sessions.

Required Experience

Experience in post-acute care or skilled nursing preferred. Must be familiar with BLS protocols.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current and unexpired Registered Nurse license in West Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• WV CARES clearance is necessary.
