ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical (Night Shift) in Glen Burnie, Maryland.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position involves a schedule of 3x12-Hour Night shifts from 20:00 to 08:30. Every other weekend and holidays are required as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in a Medical-Surgical unit, focusing on adult to geriatric patient populations. The unit has a daily average census of 28 patients and a total of 30 beds, maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6. The ideal candidate will have experience in community hospital settings and be familiar with the Epic charting system.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Perform patient assessments and document care in the Epic charting system.
• Manage IV therapy and other necessary interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in patient education and care planning.

Required Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse is required, with prior charge experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse license in Maryland or compact state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• CPI and NIHSS certifications preferred.
