This position requires a Night Shift schedule with 3 twelve-hour shifts each week, specifically from 19:00 to 07:00.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit will provide comprehensive care in a heavy neurology environment, specifically focusing on post-surgical neurology patients and various neurology diagnoses. Familiarity with the NIH stroke scale and telemetry is essential, alongside a willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients in a neurology-focused environment.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, telemetry results, and neurological status.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about neurological disorders and home care.
Required Experience
- At least 1 year of telemetry nursing experience.
- Willingness to adapt to a heavy neurology environment and learn new skills.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN license that is compact must be in hand at submission.
- ACLS certification required.
- BLS certification required.
- NIHSS certification preferred but not mandatory for apply.
