ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Night Shift) in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Schedule consists of 3 shifts per week, each 12 hours long, with every other weekend and rotating holidays. The shift details are from 19:00 to 07:00.

Job Description

This position is in the Medical-Surgical unit of Portsmouth Regional Hospital, which has 36 beds. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:6, with potential surges to 1:7. The unit is supported by administrative staff, including a unit secretary and licensed nursing assistants for both shifts. You will be working with telemetry equipment and using the Meditech Expanse documentation system.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a medical-surgical setting
• Perform telemetry monitoring and EKGs as needed
• Conduct essential procedures, including CBI, wound care, and foley insertion
• Manage central line dressing changes and various drain management tasks
• Engage in bedside shift reporting and hourly safety rounding

Required Experience

• 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
• Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse license required at submission
• BLS certification required
• IV certification required
