Job Description
The Emergency Department RN is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients within the Emergency Department, utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with other healthcare team members. This role requires assessment and interpretation of patient data, ensuring care aligns with age-specific needs across the lifespan. The RN will function in the capacity of Primary RN in Triage, the Main ED, and FastTrack, and may be required to float to other hospital areas as directed.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients in the Emergency Department through the therapeutic application of the nursing process.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to meet patient needs.
- Assess and interpret patient data relevant to individual age-specific needs.
- Function as the Primary RN in Triage, Main ED, and FastTrack.
- Float to other hospital departments as directed by hospital leadership.
Required Experience
- Current New Mexico or multi-state Registered Nurse license.
- Prior emergency and/or critical care experience preferred.
- One year of Medical-Surgical experience preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
- TNCC
