ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Operating Room (Day Shift) in Rockport, Maine.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position is scheduled for 36 hours per week, with shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The schedule includes one weeknight call from 4:30 PM to 7:00 AM and one weekend of call, approximately every 5 to 6 weeks.

Job Description

The RN will serve as a Circulating Nurse in the Operating Room at a 100-bed community hospital. The role involves providing patient care in a surgical setting, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of patients throughout their surgical experience. The position emphasizes teamwork, with all staff contributing to assist and support each other during procedures, including room turnovers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Coordinate with surgical teams to ensure a smooth surgical process.
• Monitor patient vitals and responses during procedures.
• Assist in maintaining the operating room environment and equipment.
• Participate in room turnover and prepare for upcoming surgeries.

Required Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Circulating Nurse in the Operating Room, particularly in a smaller facility setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification for call requirements
