Schedule/Shift

Day shift from 8 AM to 5 PM, requiring two weekend shifts per month.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist will provide care in the Inpatient Rehabilitation unit, focusing on neuro and orthopedic patient evaluations and treatments. The role includes conducting assessments for patients in acute care settings such as Ortho, Telemetry, and ICU. Effective communication and collaboration with other healthcare professionals are essential as part of the patient care team.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and develop treatment plans based on individual needs.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance patient recovery and rehabilitation.
• Document patient progress using the Meditech documentation system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, including floating as required.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of in-patient rehabilitation and/or hospital experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

Active Occupational Therapy license is required; temporary licenses are not accepted. Additional certifications in NDT or brain injury specialty are preferred.
