Job Description

The Professional Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care and managing patient care activities for a group of patients and their families. This role requires effective communication and collaboration with the entire care delivery team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The nurse actively participates in quality improvement initiatives and demonstrates a commitment to enhancing the patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties in accordance with system-wide competencies and behaviors.
• Participate in department or unit-specific quality improvement efforts, consistently seeking opportunities to improve patient satisfaction.
• Utilize research and evidence-based practice to enhance clinical care.
• Engage patients in the care planning process by forming daily goals tailored to their individual needs.
• Effectively communicate patient conditions and negotiate care changes with team members.
• Educate patients and families throughout the care process, fostering an environment of open dialogue.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all members of the healthcare team.

Required Experience

2 years of nursing experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• PA Act 31, 33, 34, and 73 clearances.
