ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Night Shift) in Johnson City, New York.

Schedule/Shift

12 nights, 7p-7a, 36 hours per week, every other weekend. Holiday coverage is needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive care for patients in the Emergency Department. The RN will be responsible for ensuring compliance with standards of practice, facilitating patient-centered care, and creating a supportive environment for individuals and families. Key duties include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care while managing a group of patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management.
• Administer medications safely in accordance with hospital policy.
• Contribute to productivity and resource utilization, including staffing and supplies.
• Participate in nursing governance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Engage in professional development and complete mandatory education requirements.
• Support new employees and students through mentorship.
• Fulfill Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator duties if assigned.

Required Experience

3 years of current experience working in an Emergency Department, along with previous traveler experience in trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and pediatric care.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current New York State Registered Nurse License.
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
• ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required.
