Job Description
The CVICU/CTICU Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients following fresh open-heart surgery. This role requires the ability to manage critical situations and deliver high-quality nursing care in an acute care setting. The documentation system used is EPIC.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in the CVICU/CTICU.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Document patient care in the EPIC system.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
Required Experience
BSN required, with previous CVICU or CTICU experience strongly preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN license.
- ACLS certification required.
- BLS certification required.
- NIHSS certification required.
