Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Stepdown Neuro unit will provide care for patients recovering from neurological surgeries or illnesses. Responsibilities include monitoring patient vitals, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to assess and implement care plans.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, providing timely interventions.
• Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about care instructions and overall health.
• Perform ECG rhythm recognition and medication management as required.

Required Experience

Minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in a stepdown or related specialty is required. Progressive care unit (PCU) experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Certifications/Licensure

• Must have an active Permanent Ohio license or a Compact State license.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
