Day Shift: 9A - 9P. Call requirement for PACU is 2 eight-hour weekend shifts every third weekend, with a 30-minute response time required.

Job Description

The Recovery Room, PACU unit at Wesley Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in the recovery of patients post-anesthesia. The unit features 30 beds and maintains a patient ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients, and 1 RN to 1 patient for more intensive care.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and manage patient comfort during the recovery process.
• Administer medications and treatment protocols as per physician orders.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure continuity of care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1-year current hospital PACU RN experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
