Job Description
The Registered Nurse is accountable for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The nurse will demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for the safe delivery of patient care in the Emergency Department, maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education, and delegating patient care priorities according to the education and experience of available staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgment to plan and deliver safe patient care.
- Supervise and direct the nursing staff and assigned personnel delivering patient care.
- Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting.
Certifications / Licensure
- Current RN License in Arizona
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
