Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role involves providing direct patient care within the scope of practice and directing patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients and communicates with physicians regarding changes in patients' clinical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with physicians about changes in patient clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic study results.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or responses to treatment.
Required Experience
- Valid state RN License.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Experience in ventilator management is preferred.
- Experience using EPIC EMR is required.
Certifications / Licensure
- Current and valid RN License.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
