Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced, 21-bed Respiratory Med-Surg unit that specializes in the care of pulmonary diseases. This high-acuity unit manages a complex patient population, including those requiring continuous telemetry monitoring. Candidates must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with rapid patient turnover and varying levels of care needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse population of adult respiratory and medical-surgical patients.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units such as Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders.

Required Experience

• Active Ohio RN license.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience.
• Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips (competency test required on Day 1; failure of competency is grounds for immediate termination).

Certifications / Licensure

• EMR: Proficiency with Epic EMR is mandatory (no training or refreshers provided; lack of Epic proficiency is grounds for immediate termination).
