This assignment is located 2 hours from Boston, MA.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule / Shift

Days, 7 am - 3 pm, every other weekend. Must be willing to float to units where experienced.

Job Description

The position involves monitoring each resident's mental and physical well-being, accurately transcribing and carrying out physician's orders, administering medications as prescribed, and documenting via a computerized system. The role includes supervising Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs), performing wound care, administering oxygen, and facilitating communication during physician rounds. Responsibilities also extend to guiding staff in care measures, maintaining documentation, and engaging with family members regarding resident concerns.

Responsibilities

• Observe residents for changes in condition and communicate observations.
• Administer medications and ensure accurate documentation.
• Supervise and support LNAs in resident care.
• Accompany physicians during rounds and communicate resident needs.
• Perform wound care and manage gastrostomy/jejunostomy feeding.
• Maintain infection control standards on the unit.
• Manage admissions, discharges, and transfers of residents.
• Complete daily reports and maintain communication with nursing management.

Required Experience

• 3+ years of current experience within the last 6 months.
• Must be willing to float to units where experienced.
• Previous travel experience is highly preferred.
• Experience in a rural or small facility is highly preferred.

Certifications / Licensure

• Current nursing license in New Hampshire (must be active at the time of submission).
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• IV certified (must be willing to obtain during onboarding if not already certified).
• Covid vaccination is required; declinations/exemptions are not accepted.
