Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) for our Pacific Campus, dedicated to providing comprehensive maternity services in a high-risk perinatal care setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in facilities with historical delivery volumes of 200+ per month, although those with experience in facilities with 100-200 deliveries may be considered. The unit features Level III care with 19 labor and delivery beds, 30 postpartum beds, and support staff including CNAs and Surgical Techs.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in labor and delivery, antepartum, and postpartum.
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and complex obstetrical scenarios.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and manage labor processes using fetal monitoring equipment.
- Administer medications and IV fluids as per protocols.
- Support breastfeeding and lactation to new mothers.
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
Certifications / Licensure
- Current RN license (Compact license must be in hand at submission)
- BCLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or Relias Fetal Monitoring
