Job Description
The Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgeries, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the OR setting.
- Coordinate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient vital signs throughout surgical procedures.
- Implement and follow surgical protocols to maintain patient safety.
- Assist in preoperative and postoperative care of patients.
Required Experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Operating Room is required. Previous charge experience is preferred.
Certifications / Licensure
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification is preferred.
