Job Description

The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises OT treatment in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, regulations, and guidelines. Responsibilities

• Assess patient functioning levels upon physician orders and implement appropriate treatment plans.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team processes and discharge planning, including patient/family education.
• Complete documentation as per departmental policies and provide daily progress notes.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and OT/COTA students.
• Display a customer service attitude towards all patients and staff.
• Promote continuous quality improvement and document quality assurance initiatives.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure a safe work environment.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Occupational Therapy.

Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid, current State license.
• BLS certification required.
