Occupational Therapist - Day Shift

Day shift, 5 days per week with 8-hour shifts.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises Occupational Therapy treatment in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient and employee safety with a focus on safe patient handling and a hazard-free work environment.
• Assess patient function levels and implement appropriate treatment plans based on evaluations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team processes and discharge planning.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students.
• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge information according to policy.
• Collaborate with team members to provide optimal patient care.
• Adhere to facility guidelines on personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
• Promote continuous quality improvement in all aspects of the position.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and instill confidence in patients and team members.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid, current State license as an Occupational Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
