Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a 36-bed Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry unit. This unit specializes in the treatment of neurologic diagnoses and serves as a telemetry overflow unit. The RN will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, monitor vital signs, and assess patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patients with neurologic conditions, including those requiring continuous bedside EEG and telemetry.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health management.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to plan and evaluate care.
• Assist with procedures and manage post-operative care for neurosurgical patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years Med-Surg/Telemetry experience.
• Neurology experience is required.
• Current RN license in Maryland or compact state.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; TCRN preferred.
• Basic EKG testing through Prophecy Relias is mandatory prior to orientation.
• Experience in CVA/acute stroke care, pre/post-neurosurgery, and trauma care is required.
