3x12 hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00) per week, guaranteed 36 hours.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality care in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit of a community hospital and regional referral center. This role involves working with adult and geriatric patients with diverse medical conditions, including total joint patients, acute on chronic medical conditions, and surgical patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage telemetry and medical-surgical patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6.
• Conduct assessments, administer medications, and perform necessary medical interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float to other units as needed, including Intermediate Care and Emergency Department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• ACLS certification required.
• Experience with telemetry and an ability to manage a patient load of 6 is essential.
• Preceptor and charge experience is preferred.
