Job Description

The Emergency Department at our facility is seeking a proactive and engaged Travel Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. As a Level II trauma ED, we are a certified chest pain center and thrombectomy-capable stroke center. Our commitment to providing high-quality care is reflected in our reduction of opioid usage by 34% through alternative pain management therapies.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care in a high-volume ED environment.
• Engage effectively with patients and families, ensuring clear communication regarding care plans.
• Perform procedural sedation and monitor psych/at-risk patient care with a focus on safety.
• Collaborate with a diverse team including RNs, EMTs, and care staff to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1-year current acute care ED hospital experience.
• Active BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications.
• Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred.
• CEN certification is a plus.
