Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Unit hours of operation are from 06:30 to 15:00. Call starts at 15:00 when assigned, with weekend call on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as assigned.

Job Description

We are seeking a proficient Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience scrubbing cardiac cases that require bypass, as well as thoracic surgery cases including da Vinci assisted procedures, open thoracotomies, and VATS. The Surgical Technologist will also assist in procedures involving ECMO and pericardial windows.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for a variety of cardiac cases including CABG, valve replacement, aortic dissections, and TAVR procedures.
• Assist in thoracic surgeries such as lobectomy and mediastinal lymph node biopsies.
• Use and manage equipment during surgical procedures, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Participate in ECMO and pericardial window procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Experience scrubbing in cardiac surgical cases.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Ability to take call as per unit requirements.
